COFFEE BREAK & NEW HAIR ACCESSORIES

Pico_coffee

Despite the 27 degrees Celcius I still met up with Malene for an after work kinda coffee this Monday (oh well she got an ice latte). We sat by the lakes at Original Coffee, which is definitely the best coffee chain in Copenhagen. Beforehand I went to one of my favorite hair accessories brands Pico on Østerbrogade to buy a few more scrunchies and hair clips. These two beautiful ones came with me home.

CANDY FOR THE HAIR

Sorry (but not sorry at all) Carrie Bradshaw but the scrunchie is back. If you are a true SATC fan like me (I have watched the whole series a hundred times already) you definitely remember how Carrie was teasing her boyfriend Jack Berger because the main character in his new book was wearing a scrunchie. “A scruuuunchiiiiiie?!!” She told him no one in New York City would ever wear a scrunchie (that poor man). He was a nice guy though, but he might have taken things a little too personal.

Anyway, as I said the scrunchie is back and I absolutely love it. It just makes a ponytail or a bun that much more interesting and fun. Besides the scrunchie I have also noticed how big of a trend these (Korean) hair clips have become so I had to have one myself. Isn’t it just to adorable? Look out for all the hair candy. It is just as addictive as sugar.

SMALL TREASURES

Market_earrings

I got my ears pierced last summer and ever since I have been on the hunt for some unique pieces to decorate my ears with. As you have heard me say before I really enjoy going to the markets here in London as they are, by far, the best places to go for treasure hunting. These beautiful pieces I found at Portobello Market & Broadway Market. Unfortunetaly I can’t remember the jewellers’ names but I definitely encourage you to visit these markets if you are on the hunt as well.

FEBRUARY WISH LIST

Skærmbillede 2018-01-31 kl. 20.49.15

I can’t believe it’s already a new month! Soon it will be Spring and I’m really longing for some sunshine and a little bit of warmth. This look has plenty of warm tones and I especially fell in love with this yellow Simon Miller bag. Isn’t it just beautiful? If the sun doesn’t show soon this would be the next best thing to shine for me.

BLUE SPLASHES AND CLEMENTINES

New_plates_01

On one of my first days here back in London I walked by a store in Chelsea called ‘Designer’s Guild’ where I fell madly in love with these plates with blue paint splashes. I think they are kind of fun and different. I bought two but I am considering going back for more since I am not sure where else to buy something similar.

In the background I have one of my newest magazine reads ‘Unconditional’ and I am so pleased with the aesthetics of it. It is so beautifully made and the cover just stood out to me when I was browsing ‘Wardour News’ in Soho not that long ago.

A WINE-BURGUNDY LOVE STORY

Bag A.P.C.

It was sort of love at first sight when I came across this beautiful wine-burgundy colored bag at my latest online shopping trip. I do love a bit of online shopping and it can sometimes be a bit of a weakness though a have to say that I am a very organized shopper who rarely do impulse buying. I am more the type who considers everything for too long until it’s all gone. This was no exception. I saw it online and debated with myself back and forth if I should really buy it. Then I saw a girl on the tube wearing this bag (and at this point I hadn’t even seen it in real life as I couldn’t find it in any stores across London) and then I just knew I had to click it home. A massive thank you to that girl as I truly love it!

JIGSAW LOAFERS & ROUJE SHIRT

Shirt Rouje// Loafers Jigsaw (on sale)

I have just bought some exciting new items online and I thought I would show them both here (as they actually compliment each other really nicely). The loafers I fell completely in love with after watching Lizzy Hadfields’ video about loafers. They have a slightly different cut than a traditional loafer (if there is such a thing) and they come up a bit higher on the ankle. The color was what made me completely sold. They have the most gorgeous cherry/wine kind of color but they do come in black as well.

I have for a long time wanted to buy something from the french brand Rouje (founded by the amazing Jeanne Damas). They have so many gorgeous pieces, but this shirt seemed particularly gorgeous on the website. I think it is the navy color (you all know I love navy). Perfect for summer with some navy shorts (yes you’ve heard it right – more navy!) and my white pair of Superga sneakers.
