THE DIVERSE SLIP DRESS

I love how incredibly diverse a slip dress can be and this one has, without a doubt, been one of my best buys last year. You can use it on its own, with tees and shirts under it or a chunky knit layered on top. The possibilities are endless. However, this was how I styled it for the second day of LFW. Very simple, but still with a pop of color. As I have mentioned before I’m really getting into the colored stockings trend. They just spice things up a bit.

The weather that day was absolutely incredible. It felt like Spring already as the sun was really powerful and warming. That also meant that the lighting was really good so I am very happy about how the pictures turned out (if I’m allowed to give myself and my dear friend Susanna some credit). I hope you are all well! xx

Another fashion week is on its last legs and it has been a great experience once again. This city is always buzzing but it’s still amazing to see how an event like this can tranform the city in a way that is best described as a bit over the top. This is definitely meant in a good way as I love how inspired I always feel after fashion week. It gives me an urge to work harder and push myself to pursue my goals.

As for this outfit it was what I wore on the first day of LFW. Gingham isn’t dead at all!

If you want to see what I was up to during fashion week you can check out my Instagram here. It includes an amazing graduate show, vegan burgers and a visit to the Mulberry presentation.

BRIGHT ORANGE

These pictures were taken on my birthday this Friday. I had such an amazing day with the other girls at my student accommodation. The weather was absolutely amazing (I must have behaved very well the last year…) so we decided to go for a walk in Shoreditch followed by a lovely lunch at Strut & Cluck. It was a very aesthetically pleasing café with wooden tables, shotters in front of the windows, fresh flowers and plants everywhere. The food was eastern mediterranean inspired and bloody amazing (can’t recommend the roasted chickpeas enough!). The day ended with burgers for dinner and drinks at the local pub. Thank you to everyone who made my day a little extra special!

The other day when I went into Central London I decided to browse a few of the high street stores and I completely fell in love with this red shirt from Mango. It has some really nice contrast seams and the bow is what makes all the difference to me. Usually I wear my shirts tucked into the jeans but because of the oversized fit of this one I prefer it hanging loose instead.

IT’S TIME TO GET A SWEATER ON

…and I kind of love it. It is that time of the year again. The time where you want to snuggle up in a big jumper but at the same time get the post summer blues. I always feel that way in September. It is also the month where you feel the weather is really schizophrenic and you have absolutely no idea if you need a gigantic knit or if you can get away with bare legs. September is just an on going love-hate relationship.

It is also the time of the year when I can finally wear my beloved Acne Pistol boots again. It really is a classic and I wear them season upon season. The blazer is a new addition to my wardrobe as I bought it a couple up weeks ago. The perfect combination of two of my latest obsessions; red (and blue) and checks.

LONDON HERE I AM

Exciting things are happening at the moment. I have moved to London for the next 4,5 months with my dear friend Malene to study one semester of Fashion Media & Communication at London College of Fashion. I am so bloody excited about it (and a bit nervous too to be honest). Luckily we have a good three weeks until school starts to settle in and explore the neighborhood and the rest of this lovely city. We are staying in a small studio flat in Kensington which is definitely one of my favorite areas of London but I am also determined to widen my horizon and explore new areas (I still haven’t been south of the Thames).

We shot the pictures yesterday (which were a bit gloomy but nowhere near how terrible the weather is today) in South Kensington. The blouse from Topshop I had just purchased the day before after hunting down one of the last ones in my size (it is unfortunately sold out on their website) and I’m so glad I did that. It is just such a good combination of the wrap trend, dots and pleats. It is a bit cropped but paired with black high-waisted trousers and black boots it makes your legs seem very long.

JUMPING INTO SPRING

There is something about spring and skirts. It is just a bit more weather appropriate to wear them when the first signs of spring show (at least when we talk about the thin and flowy ones). This ruffled skirt, which I bought back in January (when it was still cold and miserable), has finally seen the daylight. As the ruffle trend is still going strong I know this is going to be a stable piece of mine this season.
