THE DIVERSE SLIP DRESS

I love how incredibly diverse a slip dress can be and this one has, without a doubt, been one of my best buys last year. You can use it on its own, with tees and shirts under it or a chunky knit layered on top. The possibilities are endless. However, this was how I styled it for the second day of LFW. Very simple, but still with a pop of color. As I have mentioned before I’m really getting into the colored stockings trend. They just spice things up a bit.

The weather that day was absolutely incredible. It felt like Spring already as the sun was really powerful and warming. That also meant that the lighting was really good so I am very happy about how the pictures turned out (if I’m allowed to give myself and my dear friend Susanna some credit). I hope you are all well! xx

GETTING OUT OF A COMFORT ZONE

Sometimes you just need to challenge yourself and get out of a comfort zone. For me that comfort zone was taking pictures for my blog and Instagram account as I’ve done so many times before, but I thought I would try to up my content by adding video features as well. I’ll admit that it was really hard to begin with. It isn’t easy to get it right, but I’m actually really proud of the end result. Hopefully this won’t be the last video you’ll see from me. I promise to try to make it a regular thing on the blog. Enjoy!

CARAMEL CORDUROY

I’ll admit that I’m a bit (if not a lot) obsessed with corduroy this season. It is true 70s but it has hopefully come back to stay – for good. For me it mostly reminds me of my sweet grandpa who always used to put his long legs in a pair of high waisted corduroy trousers. Although I love a good pair of corduroy trousers I also enjoy the textile in other forms like this dress I bought in Cos recently. It has the perfect rich caramel colour and I think it goes really well with navy blue (my other big obsession).

IN MY FAVORITE VINTAGE SHIRT

Ever since coming to London I have found the joy in buying vintage clothing. I feel like London has so many good options whether it be markets or actual vintage stores. This shirt you might have seen on my Instagram where I have posted a few pictures of it. Shirts are one of my favorite items to find in vintage stores or at flea markets. The selection of shirts is always so big that it is almost impossible to leave empty handed.

I actually bought another vintage shirt the day these pictures were shot. Fear not, it will be up on my blog and/or Instagram very soon!

BRIGHT ORANGE

These pictures were taken on my birthday this Friday. I had such an amazing day with the other girls at my student accommodation. The weather was absolutely amazing (I must have behaved very well the last year…) so we decided to go for a walk in Shoreditch followed by a lovely lunch at Strut & Cluck. It was a very aesthetically pleasing café with wooden tables, shotters in front of the windows, fresh flowers and plants everywhere. The food was eastern mediterranean inspired and bloody amazing (can’t recommend the roasted chickpeas enough!). The day ended with burgers for dinner and drinks at the local pub. Thank you to everyone who made my day a little extra special!

HOW IT FEELS TO GET OLDER

MAYFAIR_03

I know we get older all the time but every year my birthday still takes me by surprise. This year is no exception and the fact that I’m in London only makes it easier to forget it. But today is the day and I’m turning 21. It feels good to get older (I feel like most people feel like that when they’re in their early 20s) and I feel like I have matured a lot over the past year. I know age is more a state of mind but it can still be nice to say that I’m 21!

The pictures are from the other day when I was walking around Mayfair and Soho with Emilie. And once again I was wearing my beloved blazer from Sandro (which is actually on sale right now). I hope you’re not already sick of seeing it because I promise you it won’t be the last time!

HOW LONDON IS A CONSTANT SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

It feels so incredibly good to be back in London. The drive and vibe here constantly get me excited about things and this city just keeps inspiring me. I couldn’t dream of a better place to be right now (though it is a bit cold from time to time). These past few days I’ve used to get back into things here, reunite with some friends and get to know others. I was in Hackney the other day having lunch with Hannah (one of the sweet girls I met last semester) at the newly opened café Sans Pere in Broadway Market. Such a cute little spot with amazing decor and great food at reasonable prices. It was lovely to just sit and chat and we had a lovely time.

I can’t deny that I’m a bit impatient for my studies to begin on Monday. This semester I am going to focus more on the business(y) things and I’ve got subjects like Fashion Marketing, PR and Trend Forecasting on my schedule. I am very curious and excited (as you can probably tell already). Bring it on!
