I have just returned with the Eurostar back to London from an amazing five days in Paris. Oh, how I love that city! This time around it was part of my studies at London College of Fashion, but that didn’t make the trip any worse. We were lucky enough to experience some good weather the first days, which meant one thing: coffee & croissants on a sidewalk café! I also discovered the brand Oxyde after visiting their store on Rue de Charonne and I was pleasantly surprised about their selection of clothing items. How can I never have heard about this brand before??! Of course, I didn’t walk out of there empty handed.
Besides some really good shopping and food experiences I also visited a couple of exhibitions that are worth mentioning. The first one was Claude Monet’s water lilies at the Musée de l’Orangerie. I love the simplicity of the paintings and the way they are exhibited in these light, oval shaped rooms. The second exhibition we visited was the Christian Dior, Couturier du Rêve at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. It is by far the most grandiose exhibition I have ever seen and truly an amazing experience (despite the many people).

…and I kind of love it. It is that time of the year again. The time where you want to snuggle up in a big jumper but at the same time get the post summer blues. I always feel that way in September. It is also the month where you feel the weather is really schizophrenic and you have absolutely no idea if you need a gigantic knit or if you can get away with bare legs. September is just an on going love-hate relationship.
It is also the time of the year when I can finally wear my beloved Acne Pistol boots again. It really is a classic and I wear them season upon season. The blazer is a new addition to my wardrobe as I bought it a couple up weeks ago. The perfect combination of two of my latest obsessions; red (and blue) and checks.

It was sort of love at first sight when I came across this beautiful wine-burgundy colored bag at my latest online shopping trip. I do love a bit of online shopping and it can sometimes be a bit of a weakness though a have to say that I am a very organized shopper who rarely do impulse buying. I am more the type who considers everything for too long until it’s all gone. This was no exception. I saw it online and debated with myself back and forth if I should really buy it. Then I saw a girl on the tube wearing this bag (and at this point I hadn’t even seen it in real life as I couldn’t find it in any stores across London) and then I just knew I had to click it home. A massive thank you to that girl as I truly love it!
