I have a ton of pictures on my phone of this beautiful cherry blossom tree that lives close to my home during my stay in London. I could follow the development every day. This is what makes Spring one of the best times of the year. When everything is blooming it makes you so optimistic and excited for all the new things to come.
The weather also started to feel like Spring. On this particular day it was 19 degrees Celcius. Here, I’m enjoying a iced latte at Wulf & Lamb near Sloane Square.
Again this picture was taken on a day where the weather was absolutely incredible. Malene came to visit me and we just enjoyed the sunshine in Holland Park and ate fresh fruit and guacamole.
On our last evening in London we decided to walk all the way through Hyde Park before heading to dinner in Mayfair. It was such a treat to see a sunset like that.

We also did a bit of shopping (even though I’m always trying not to). I bought this beautiful blazer from Urban Outfitters. It is very lightweight and perfect for Spring and Summer.
I also had a little “fika” with my Swedish girls at Fabrique (which is a Swedish bakery chain). This place makes the best cinnamon buns. I will miss these girls so much (but hey now I just have an excuse to come to Sweden more often)!
Another pretty corner in London. I swear I have at least a 1,000 of these kind of pictures in my camera roll.
Now when the semester is about to come to an end I can really start to feel the pressure. We only have two weeks left until graduation and a million things to do before then. On top of that I am working on my entrance assignment for KEA (Copenhagen School of Design & Technology). It’s a lot of things going on at once. It’s not a pressure that someone else puts on me it’s just myself. I am sure a lot of you know the exact feeling. I just want to do good. Not for others but for myself.
Sometimes putting a lot of pressure on yourself can be your own worst enemy. I have learned over the years that taking a mental as well as a physical break from things can be really beneficial. Just to think about something else for a moment. Do something good for yourself. Usually I go for a long walk, go to the gym or meet a friend for a coffee. Today I decided to take a little time to myself. I went for a short walk and then grabbed a coffee and a croissant at my local bakery. There I just sat for an hour reading in my favorite magazine and forgot about the rest. You leave feeling energized (not just from the coffee) and motivated to go back to work.
I was actually reading an interview with Allison Janney and I just found her career and life story very inspiring. “I’m so proud to be able to say it, and I’m going to say it right here: I’m Allison Janney, and I’m an actress. She tells me it was her first time she truly felt comfortable claiming her profession out loud.” Don’t be scared to dream big and be proud of every achievement you reach along the way. Small victories are also victories. We should all remember to be proud of ourselves and praise ourselves a little more often.
I know I say this every single time. Time flies by so fast and I just finished my first semester at London College of Fashion. You heard me. FIRST. I’ve decided to take another semester simply because I love it so much here. Of course I miss my family from time to time but so many things are happening here that I don’t give it to much of a thought. I am going home during Christmas though and I can’t wait to see all of my family and my beloved friends back at home.
I have been receiving a lot of messages lately asking for tips about London. I will do an in-dept guide soon or maybe a series of guides featuring the different areas.

I have just returned with the Eurostar back to London from an amazing five days in Paris. Oh, how I love that city! This time around it was part of my studies at London College of Fashion, but that didn’t make the trip any worse. We were lucky enough to experience some good weather the first days, which meant one thing: coffee & croissants on a sidewalk café! I also discovered the brand Oxyde after visiting their store on Rue de Charonne and I was pleasantly surprised about their selection of clothing items. How can I never have heard about this brand before??! Of course, I didn’t walk out of there empty handed.
Besides some really good shopping and food experiences I also visited a couple of exhibitions that are worth mentioning. The first one was Claude Monet’s water lilies at the Musée de l’Orangerie. I love the simplicity of the paintings and the way they are exhibited in these light, oval shaped rooms. The second exhibition we visited was the Christian Dior, Couturier du Rêve at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. It is by far the most grandiose exhibition I have ever seen and truly an amazing experience (despite the many people).

Exciting things are happening at the moment. I have moved to London for the next 4,5 months with my dear friend Malene to study one semester of Fashion Media & Communication at London College of Fashion. I am so bloody excited about it (and a bit nervous too to be honest). Luckily we have a good three weeks until school starts to settle in and explore the neighborhood and the rest of this lovely city. We are staying in a small studio flat in Kensington which is definitely one of my favorite areas of London but I am also determined to widen my horizon and explore new areas (I still haven’t been south of the Thames).
We shot the pictures yesterday (which were a bit gloomy but nowhere near how terrible the weather is today) in South Kensington. The blouse from Topshop I had just purchased the day before after hunting down one of the last ones in my size (it is unfortunately sold out on their website) and I’m so glad I did that. It is just such a good combination of the wrap trend, dots and pleats. It is a bit cropped but paired with black high-waisted trousers and black boots it makes your legs seem very long.
