May has been treating us really well so far. It has felt like summer and that has been doing something very positive for my mood. It is so uplifting to feel the sun on my body again and the warmth it gives. As for the moment I don’t really have a job and my mom had some leftover vacation she needed to spend so we decided to go to our summerhouse on Fyn for little over a week. Later the rest of the family joined us so we could spend the Bank Holiday together.

When we came home from the summerhouse Malene and I decided to take a trip to Tisvildeleje for the evening. We bought some wine, bread and cheese and enjoyed the last beams of sun on the beach.

AUGUST WISH LIST

Shirt Topshop// Trousers Stella McCartney// Earrings Missoma// Perfume Byredo// Bag Marni// Shoes Sam Edelman
.
It’s already August and soon it will be autumn… but first lets enjoy the fact that it’s still summer. This time of the year I always try to find some more transitional pieces that work in (almost) all kinds of weather. A pair of cropped woolen trousers paired with black kitten heels (which I used to hate but now love) seem to be a perfect combo for the following month or two while we wait for it to become more sweater appropriate weather. I must admit that I’m a bit excited for fall to come. It just is the best season when it comes to clothes (one word: layering!). Speaking of exciting things to come this bag from Marni is a ‘coming soon’ item on Matchesfashion. Such a gorgeous clean white color and a beautiful detail with the round top handle. It’s a winner!

HOT DAYS IN PARIS

As you probably have seen on Instagram (or red in my latest post) I took a girls trip to Paris last week. We had a wonderful time eating good food, taking long walks through the parks, seeing the sun set over the Seine, looking at art galleries in the Marais district and hitting all the beautiful French fashion stores (yes – I did definitely not go out empty handed). I’m planning on doing a full guide for Paris so stay tuned for that one!

Dress Sessùn

I bought this dress on sale in the small Sessùn store in the 6th Arrondissement. I haven’t actually heard much about the brand, but – oh boy – it surprised me. It has a bohemian vibe to it and lots of the clothes made me think about a urban country girl. The details and the quality is beautiful – which were the exact reason why I fell in love with this dress. Yes it’s ‘just’ black but the belt around the waist makes all the difference. It’s light and flowy (and you can wear it without a bra) and therefore perfect for some hot days in the city.

T-shirt Cos// Skirt Maje// Sneakers Superga// Bag Céline

Another buy I’ve made in Paris was this blue striped skirt from Maje. Again a new brand to me (not all French brands is that easy to get hold of in Denmark). It ticks all the right boxes. Blue, striped and ruffled. What more is there to say?

Dress Ganni

Floral prints have not always been something I fancied but this summer it’s different. In general I think my style has evolved in a more feminine direction which I only see as a positive thing. Why shouldn’t I? Change can be good sometimes.

JUNE WISH LIST

Sweater Ganni// Trousers By Malene Birger// Espadrilles Vince// Bag Ganni
.
Orange is definitely the color of the season (just like yellow was last summer). It is the perfect subtle orange. Not to bright or neon. Ganni has just released their pre-fall collection and oh my it is beautiful and it contains a lot of orange pieces. I imagine wearing the sweater on a chilly summer night while watching the sun go down in the horizon. I wouldn’t mind bringing it with me this summer holiday where I will spend a lot of my time in the family summerhouse by the sea.
As you might have seen as well the espadrilles have got a serious comeback this season. They are everywhere at the moment (a long side its fellow buddy the ever-so-chic straw bag). I really need to get myself a pair as soon as possible (or should I say as soon as my bank account allows me, yep I have definitely had a ‘feeling spendy’ moment lately, ups).

AUGUST WISH LIST

c750x779

Knit J.W.Anderson// Bag Chloé// Trousers Acne Studios// Shoes Helmut Lang

It is supposed to be summer but honestly the weather doesn’t scream summer to me. Instead I’m thinking more about knits and fury stuff. But maybe it fits quite well since the fashion industry always is at least one season ahead. It’s okay as autumn is definitely one of my favorite seasons (alongside summer, spring and winter… yep I can’t decide).

Leather jacket Zara// Top Ganni// Trousers Zara// Sunglasses Asos// Bag Céline// Shoes Adidas// Watch Daniel Wellington

This t-shirt from Ganni is everything I didn’t knew I wanted in a t-shirt. I think it is fun and playful and it is a great summer stable. I love how a little bit of color quickly can make your outfit more interesting. I think I owe you an apology for the silence on the blog lately (and in a long time), but at the moment I’m concentrating on my exams. Fortunately I graduate on tuesday!
